Through the Looking Glass(TLG) is paving the way to our new home at the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkeley. Slated to open in August 2010 at the Ashby BART Station, The Ed Roberts Campus will be a model of universal design, serving thousands of individuals with disabilities and attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors worldwide. In addition to offering TLG much needed administrative and clinical space, the new campus will house TLG's new Early Childhood Development Center.
Today, TLG invites you to help us realize our dream by purchasing an individual, family, business, group or corporate legacy tile to assist with the completion of our Early Childhood Development Center. When you purchase an engraved tile, you, your family or business will have a permanent symbol, an unwavering reminder of how you helped shape the life of children in the community. Your family or corporate legacy tile will be permanently affixed to and prominently placed on our Legacy Wall in our new Center.
Since 1982, Through the Looking Glass has been serving families with disabilities. In 2008, TLG served approximately 1700 clients—mostly low-income, culturally diverse infants, children, parents and grandparents with disabilities in Alameda County. We also provided critically-needed consultations and training to thousands of parents and professionals throughout the U.S.
Over the past 12 years, TLG, along with six other collaborating nonprofits, has raised over $48 million dollars to build the overall Ed Roberts Campus at the Ashby BART Station in Berkeley. You can be part of this amazing undertaking to improve services in our community and to develop TLG's model environment for children and families.
By purchasing a personalized engraved tile, your tax deductible contribution will help TLG complete our new space including our Early Childhood Development Classrooms and Playgrounds, the Sensory Motor Room serving young children on the autism spectrum, the Play Therapy Room, and the Family Counseling Room. Your donation is an investment in our future; it will help support and shape the life of children and families with disability issues.
Please join us and become an architect of our future – please put your tax deductible dollars to work for the children and families of TLG and your community. We are working together to make this a better place for all of us.
Thank you for your support. TLG is a 501(C)3 Nonprofit Organization
