TLG has developed a training module to guide professionals in the design and facilitation of support groups for parents with intellectual disabilities. This training module is based on five years of maintaining and fine-tuning a support group developed by TLG for local parents with intellectual disabilities in the Bay Area, including ongoing clinical documentation as well as the inclusion of parents with intellectual disabilities in the development process. The training module includes a DVD with video excerpts featuring support group participants. This module also includes TLG's publication Strategies and Adaptations in Working with Parents with Intellectual Disabilities (which is also available separately).
