2007 International Day of Families at United Nations Headquarters
"Families and Persons with Disabilities"
May 15, 2006 (New York)

Megan Kirshbaum was invited to speak at the observance of the 2007 International Day of Families at United Nations Headquarters in New York (May 15). The theme of the observance is "Families and Persons with Disabilities". In December 2006 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the Convention was opened for signature on 30 March of this year.
